Foo Fighters

9:30 Club, Washington, DC - September 9, 2021

So one advantage to being in the DC music scene is the Foo Fighters shows. I’ve seen them a lot over the years including the July 4th / 20th Anniversary of the band show at RFK Stadium after Dave broke his leg. In October 2017 the Foo Fighters played the opening show at The Anthem in DC. This show was for the re-opening of 9:30 Club following Covid-19 lockdowns. I had been staking out the 9:30 website for a week waiting for the tickets to go on sale. It’s a 1,200 capacity venue so I was lucky to get a pair of tickets. I got in line for the show about 11am and the show itself ended around 11:30pm, so I was at the venue for over half a day. Got on the rail and enjoyed one of the best shows I’ve seen from them. Of course I always think that after their shows. I was also able to take a friend of mine who loves the Foo but had never seen them live so that was special too. Taken with my Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II.
