Kinda Evil

The text with these shots is always the hardest part for me. Basically this is a band of friends whose music I like, so I go see them when I have a chance. The place is small and was packed so I got caught in the front corner to take pictures. The picture is B&W because the venue dropped the blue channel from the front lighting (so only red and green lights), but that said I like this picture as B&W. Ideally I think a venue of 4k to 6k capacity gets the best lighting. Since they are trying to light it for people in the back of the venue to see the action. If you are in a photo pit between the stage and the front rail you can get great shots there in that environment. Of course there are lighting people who can still screw that up. Cameras have a dynamic range and there are times when the lighting under lights a subject on whole, but over lights an area on the subject.
