Lukas Nelson

Lincoln Theatre, Washington, DC - October 23, 2021

I’m a big fan of Willie Nelson, one of the great songwriters of our time. Started hear songs from Lukas a few years back and really liked them. So I bought a ticket to see him at the 9:30 Club in 2020, but that was canceled due to Covid-19. In 2021 when everyone was announcing new tours Lukas booked a DC show at Lincoln Theatre and I bought tickets. Lincoln is a seated theater, but the seats are GA, so I got in line early and grabbed the front and center seats. About a third of the way through a security person told me I wasn’t allowed to take pictures with my camera (the pocket camera which I’ve taken pictures with at every show I’ve seen there). I stopped for a few song and then managed to take more pictures by blocking the security person’s view with my friend’s curly hair. Quick question for venues and artists, what difference does it make if someone is using a pocket camera vs. a cell phone? Taken with my Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II.
