The Beaches

9:30 Club, Washington, DC - December 10, 2021

You almost never know going into a show when you are going to hate the lighting used. For this show I hated for each of the three band’s lighting, each for different reasons (band 1: too dark overall, so too much ISO noise; band 2: great overall light with too bright of spot lights causing clipped areas in the pictures; and band 3: back lighting. Tip for lighting guys, no one is behind the band). The Beaches were band 2, so I did manage some goo pictures from their set when the spot lights were pointed the other way. Really loved The Beaches. They were a lot of fun, plus the drummer gives them a driving beat. I almost never get good drummer pictures, so since I managed a few at this show I’m using one here.
