Karen is the perfect example of how an opening act can become one of your favorite acts. I saw her open for Jade Jackson at Union Stage in DC and loved her sound. Just something about the cadence of her voice. She’s sort of local, Fredericksburg, VA, so I see her when I can. She has a great band as well, especially Tim Bray who really is a master of the Telecaster sound. I should add that I saw Jade Jackson open for Social Distortion and fell in love with her voice, so Karen is two removed from who I was trying to see. Taken with my Canon EOS R.
