2020 was a perfect storm for me and taking concert pictures. Late in 2019 I decided to spend the money and buy the Canon EOS R and see what I could do about getting it into venues. All concerts shut down in March of 2020 because of Covid-19. In June 2020 I was able to start seeing shows outside again almost entirely at Jammin Java in Vienna, VA. I probably averaged 4 shows a week starting in June until it was too cold outside to have shows. These shows really gave me an opportunity to learn how to use my new camera as well as how to really photograph shows (not just stand on a spot and take some pictures). In the fall of 2020 Lele Rose contacted me through my Instagram page to ask if I would photograph her at her show at Java Nation in MD. I already had a show that night at Jammin Java, but I said I would make it to her show after the first set. Lele got some pictures from that show, but I got the confidence that someone liked my pictures and wanted me taking some of her at her show. Forever grateful to one of many people who have helped me.
